Cancellation versus withdrawal

Subscription cancellation concerns future contract periods. Statutory withdrawal reverses an eligible consumer contract. A free trial is not itself the statutory withdrawal period.

Consumer withdrawal

For eligible distance service contracts under German law, consumers generally have 14 days from contract conclusion to withdraw without a reason. The start and any extension depend on required information and contract type. This does not automatically grant withdrawal rights to business customers.

Making a declaration

Send an unambiguous withdrawal declaration to the provider identifying your name, contract or order, contact address and decision. Postal declarations can be sent to the company address below. The contact email is shown below. The electronic withdrawal function must be completed before paid sales begin.

Refunds

AIVROM does not offer a voluntary satisfaction refund in addition to statutory rights. The 14-day trial does not remove consumers’ statutory withdrawal rights or remedies for defective services. Following valid withdrawal, payments are generally refunded within 14 days of receipt of the declaration using the same payment method unless expressly agreed otherwise. Where early service commencement was expressly requested and the required information provided, a proportionate charge may apply to the extent permitted by law.

Early service and digital content

Starting a trial or accepting terms does not itself waive withdrawal rights. Services and digital content have different conditions for expiry; necessary express requests, consents and information must be implemented separately at checkout.

Subscription cancellation

Paid sales are not active yet. A declaration process, confirmation page and electronic acknowledgement must be implemented when sales are enabled. This information does not replace an operational cancellation or withdrawal button.
